Fly Jane is no stranger to the artistic talents of Noor Farooq affectionately known as @Noorface.  Having collaborated with her many times, her impeccable work, silent confidence, and bubbly personality makes her easily noticeable, and a joy to be around. The extent of her inner beauty shines outwardly and she is undoubtedly FLY, a true #FlyJaneInRealLife.

One of the first things you notice about Noor is her style.  She has mastered the balance of distinction and simplicity. With a strong eye for mixing comfort with femininity, you will often see her in super clean sneaks, with something that modestly shows her curves without reveling too much skin. She's always on trend, but never gets lost in the regret of next year's fashion don’ts! But beyond the fashion, its her ambition you quickly notice off top. Noor's passion shows through the pride and time she takes in her work, never shying away from teaching and helping, painting beauty in a much broader spectrum than what society teaches us.

With much excitement, we invited Noor into out private closet, filled with everything #FlyJane, and we had a lot of fun. Trying on everything from shorts to skirts, colors and patterns galore, we found 5 looks that displayed Noor’s personal style, by way of #FlyJane. Then we took to the streets of Atlanta - her hometown, picking out spots that had cool vibes and dope scenery, to display our proud collaboration.

Hey did we mention she is beautiful?!?! Her energy mixed with the sun beaming gracefully on Atlanta, glued together by the cool digs we provided, created true magic, and a documentation of someone we adore!

 Describe yourself in 3 sentences.

Noor:  Noor is a visionary and a hard working artist. She takes pride in being creative and inspiring people through her entrepreneur journey. She's loyal and doesn't take anyone's time for granted & continues to connect with everyone she meets through empathy and her artistry.

What inspired you to be a makeup artist? What continues to inspire you?

Noor: I was always into art. Anything I could get my hands on to create something, I would. I've been a little hustler since I was young. I'd make little bracelets out of flowers and sell them to the people in my building for a dollar. I'd make T-shirt, earrings, etc and sell those as well. So my inspiration to be a makeup artist was already a gift within me. I used to play with the eye shadows they used to put in magazines back in the day and sneak and wear them to 6th grade lol- and that's when I knew playing with colors has a huge impact on my life.

People appreciating my work and talent continues to inspire me. There's this quote from Erma Bombeck called and it's what I live by & it's what continues to inspire me: "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'."

If the world could know one thing about Noor, what would it be?

I'm a hopeless romantic lol. I love Disney fairytales of love and dreams. I'm a sucker for love.

Where are you from and what does it mean to you? How does your heritage play into your life and artistry?

I'm from Pakistan & I'm Muslim. These two identities are a major part of my moral fiber. It's how I operate, how I treat people, my style of dress my love for art, my understanding of people and ultimately my peace. Being from another side of the world certainly gives you a default broader perspective, within that, I strive to make my work conscious and moving - not just something pretty to look at.

>The backgrounds of your shoot were known places in Atlanta, Ga. What does Atlanta mean to you and what does it represent?

Atlanta is the first place I planted my feet moving from Pakistan. Literally the other side of the world. In a weird way, Atlanta feels like home. The diversity, the rich urban culture, musically and artistically really inspires me. The south is still a part of the U.S that feels like home in the sense that it's very family oriented and of course the southern hospitality. It's the perfect mix of slow when you need to be but definitely upbeat when you want it to be. I love Atlanta!

> What was your favorite part about this shoot?

My favorite part about this shoot was the fact that I was able to represent my own style. Anyone can wear clothes, but not everyone has style. so being allowed the opportunity to exude my personal style on all levels made this shoot extra special.

Is it hard being a female entrepreneur and why? If you could tell young girls something what would it be?

I don't think it's hard being a young entrepreneur. We have just as much opportunity if not more now a days to make shit happen. There's nothing anyone can tell me that I won't be able to do. I honestly think being a successful entrepreneur comes with learning your self worth. People can only see you how you see yourself.

How do you define beauty? What makes you beautiful?

Beauty is truly an abstract concept. There are so many layers to beauty & I'd be silly to say there's only one definition. Everyone and everything God made is beautiful. I define beauty as peace. On a deeper level - People who are peaceful are beautiful to me. Women who respect themselves are beautiful to me. In the physical sense, I love women who take the time to dress up, and put a little makeup on and just look nice for themselves. My mom is like that. There's such an elegance to women who are feminine from their hair to their perfectly manicured toes. :)

What makes you FLY?

What makes me Fly? Lol I'd say my minimalism. It's not in your face, but someone who knows me could easily be like "oh that's all Noor" or "Noor would love that" What makes me Fly is knowing that I don't give a damn if anyone else thinks I'm fly. It's a knowing and a confidence from within.
What makes me fly is the marriage between humble and confident. & it's something I work on everyday.
